Online survey of environmental (Traffic) Noise

Hello, I am Mr. Chetan Chalurkar, a research scholar under the supervision of Prof. Sneha Singh, in the department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at IIT Roorkee. I am doing my PhD research on: “Noise Control using Sonic Crystals”.

This study is a part of my doctoral research where you, as a participant, will be exposed to two environmental sounds in a residential area near a Highway. You will be asked to register your emotional responses to these sounds. please listen to sound and record your responses.

• How long will this survey take?

 It will take about 10 minutes of your time.

• What will I gain?

You will help in proving essential data for research on  mitigating noise for improving human health

Your 10 minutes can help a PhD student build a quieter,  noise-free environment.

• Will my data be private?

We will not collect your phone number, email ID, or any other personally identifiable information. Your name will be required only to ensure consistency across responses for comparative analysis. All necessary measures will be taken to maintain the anonymity of your data and to protect your privacy. Each participant will be assigned a unique identification code, which will be used for data processing and analysis.
